WILUS CEO DISCUSSES RECENT WI-FI TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENTS IN INTERVIEW WITH ELECTRONIC TIMES
Wilus CEO Dr. Jin Sam Kwak was recently interviewed by Electronic Times about trends in the core technology of the Wi-Fi standard, as well as particular application solutions.
Dr. Kwak talked about Wilus’ recent development of a Wi-Fi sensing technology that detects motion based on wireless signal distortion caused by the movement of a target without the need for additional devices.
Dr. Kwak also discussed Wilus’ mission to improve people’s lives through the development of standardized technologies. It takes years of technology development and standardization before a technology is ready for market. Wi-Fi 6, which is widely utilized in the market today, took four to five years of technology development before commercialization.
Today, world-changing technologies are being developed in various standardization groups, and Wilus remains actively involved in the development of these technologies through standards organizations including IEEE, 3GPP, and MPEG.
