Wilus Inc. Wi-Fi experts Dr. Juhyung Son, Dr. Sanghyun Kim, Gunjung Ko, and Dr. Jin Sam Kwak have published a paper entitled "Trends in Standardization of 7th Generation WLAN IEEE 802.11be" in the July 2021 issue of KICS Information and Communications Magazine.
The article describes the physical layer (PHY) and medium access control (MAC) layer technologies under discussion in 11be standardization, such as multi-link transmission, support for 320 MHz channel width, multiple resource unit (multiple RU) allocation, 4096-QAM, upward compatible preamble design, and multiple input multiple output (MIMO) enhancements. It also discusses features that will be discussed in 11be Draft 2.0 and beyond, such as multi-access point (multi-AP) cooperative transmissions and enhanced retransmission protocols based on HARQ.

Minseok Noh, Wilus mobile standards expert, attended the Training for Standards Patent Experts program held by KISTA on June 23, 2021, and presented on trends in 5G NR standards. A link with further information can be found below.

Wilus Inc. today signed an MOU and license agreement with HUMAX NETWORKS, a global top-tier Wi-Fi equipment supplier. The two companies have agreed to develop and jointly commercialize next-generation commercial Wi-Fi products and services leveraging their respective strengths.
Wilus develops new Wi-Fi technologies based on a deep understanding of the core technologies of next-generation Wi-Fi standards, while HUMAX NETWORKS boasts excellent product development and production capabilities. With the signing of the agreement, the companies will begin full-scale R&D.
